Preface

The factor that affects the production services most is the human capital expressed by the qualities such as knowledge, creativity and ethics. The economic success that countries get is directly related to the quality of their education system. Therefore, the success of the countries which put the emphasis on higher education to compete with other countries is the indicator of their economic progress. Higher education institutions are perceived as ‘economic motors’ by policy makers and they are considered essential since they produce information on and on through the continuous education for labor, innovativeness and researching.

Policies related to quality in higher education are gaining importance nationally and in Europe day by day. İt is understood that in an information-based global economy, to be able to compete with other countries, qualified higher education is a must. Therefore, countries have to develop their employment areas, maintain their competitive landscapes and improve their information dissemination skills.

In accordance with this universal perspective, Doğuş University, which is one the trust institutions of our country, endeavors to implement the responsibilities mentioned above. As directed by Higher Education Quality Board legislation, Doğuş University adopts the concept of ‘total quality management’ regarding education, researching, administration and community services. Quality coordinatorship, which is a unit directly related to the rectorate, take on the responsibility of quality coordination. Quality Coordination’s genuine and active efforts to sustain product and service quality at Doğuş University will continue to get far-reaching day by day.
